About Conquering the Fear Of Success

About Conquering the Fear Of Success

“It is not the mountain we conquer, but
ourselves.” ~~Sir Edmund Hillary

In order to conquer the fear of success, it is necessary to recognize fear exists. Even the best of us, who believe we have our fears conquered and only go for the best, harbor a fear of some sort.

In order to attain success and achieve goals, inhibiting fear MUST be eliminated from your conscious and subconscious mind. Our conscious mind responds to what we see and feel and want. Our evil twin, the subconscious, has us all prepared with the necessary excuses to often keep us from even trying to attain that which we want so much.

“You must do the thing that you fear until
the fear of that thing becomes no more.”
~~ Brian Tracy

How to do that? Make the reward greater than the pain. In keeping with how to get rid of the fear, what if the reward you create is how many people you could help if you attain the success you seek? Can you make that list, their needs, big enough to help you overcome your fear of being successful?

Be careful here to create ONE big need at a time in order that you do not become a victim of success expectancy.

Each time you are sucked into some program you are not sure is what you need, but something you thought might be the answer to your prayers, you end up feeling discouraged for not doing what they said was ‘so easy.’

Disappointed and thoroughly disillusioned, you quit. Turn your back on all things Internet. You are a failure. You could not do what grandma surely could do.

Not so!

What you have to think about is, what happened to you when you failed? Nothing! Matter of fact, if anything happened, it was the positive award of learning a valuable life lesson. Hang onto that so-called ‘failure.’ Breathe it, taste it until the life lesson soaks through. Then you can let go of the fear but assuredly hang onto the life lesson.

What if the fear you are feeling is self-perpetuated? The only fear that is stopping you from getting what you want, is the fear you yourself create? Test it first before becoming a victim. Set out the award you feel is so important at the other end of the journey. Then go for it.

With each of life’s lessons building in your subconscious, what you will end up doing is fearing nothing, for you are building your staircase to success.

Bandwidth and You

May 11th, 2012

As you evaluate potential web hosting services, you will undoubtedly run across the term “bandwidth.” It is important to know your web host’s bandwidth offering and as equally important to know the bandwidth your website will require.

Bandwidth refers to the amount of data the website visitor can download from a website. This is determined by the total amount of data required to show your web page to a visitor including the images – don’t forget them; they count, too!  Then multiple that number by the average number of visitors to your site in a month.

This will give you the number of bytes (usually shown in kilobytes -  KB) required to display the information to your visitor.  Divide that number by 1024 to determine the number of megabytes (MB).  Divide your answer by 1024 again to arrive at the number of gigabytes (GB).

If your website goes over its monthly bandwidth limit, you will need to buy more. Careful pre-planning will eliminate getting into this sticky situation. Do not choose a web hosting company that offers too little bandwidth. Bandwidth offered by 10 of the top ranked web hosts range from 2 GB to 6,000 GB. One GB (or gigabyte) equals 1,024 megabytes.

Beware of the sites offering unlimited bandwidth and another common commodity – disk space!  They will tell you unlimited but they will cover this by small print in their terms of service agreement.  By telling you there will be an unspecified charge if your website starts using more than 2% of the server’s resources.

So what sounds great just may not be what you end up paying!  With ViralHost affordable web hosting packages tailored to all budgets, you will be able to find the amount of bandwidth you need at an affordable price!

All our packages have the disk space and bandwidth specified – you know what you will pay!  Plus most packages offer free sequential autoresponders and traffic exchange upgrades at no additional charge.  Live website training and you earn commissions from sales, too!

Hyper-Expectations and Reality

May 8th, 2012

Do you know what holds most people back from their online dreams?

Its actually a collision between super-expectancy and reality.

No, I haven’t lots my mind. At least not yet.

We get something built up in our mind and get that “this is it” feeling washing over us.

That is a good thing! Something positive to build on.

It’s positive. It gives you the juice to move forward.

The energy to stay focused and on fire.

But there is something very important you MUST understand…

When we first get an idea and get excited, our minds generate and exaggerate positive outcomes.

But things don’t always turn out as planned do they?

And what should we do when we suddenly find out that the dream was a mirage?

Here is an example…

A lady named Lisa just joined this great hosting company. She is really working hard in the business she established.

One day she received word that a huge hosting society website is going to run her free 6-line classified ad free!

This was being done as a sponsor because the society is thrilled about her new website.

You can imagine the excitement to land such a big “fish” promoting her business to literally thousands of people!

Sounds like the floodgates are about to be opened. Success at last.

The mention of Lisa’s classified turns out to be at the very bottom of the society newsletter.

What a huge disappointment!

Discouragement – Disappointment – Disillusionment

That trio of Triple D comes over her like ants to a picnic.

Triple D can take you from the pinnacle to the pits in moments.

You’ve had this happen to you, right? Me too. We ALL have.

“This was a crazy dream I shouldn’t have thought this would work.”

“Everything always turns out this way. Why do I even try?”

“I thought this was it! I cannot believe it turned out this way.

This stinks!”

Triple D starts messing with our heads. We start having crazy conversations.

Lisa even had some of those conversations. But… she didn’t allow those conversations to become reality.

Lisa crushed Triple D with action.

She kept going.

She kept contacting folks. Kept the dream alive.

Than one day, the editor of a large newsletter contacts her wanting to do an exclusive full-length story about keeping her dreams alive.

Now imagine the thrill knowing your business is going out to 500,000 subscribers!

That is how you crush discouragement, disappointment and disillusionment. You keep moving. You keep dreaming.

Is Triple D trying to knock you out?

Keep the battle lines strong by continuing to move forward.

Don’t let the pit turn into a prison. Breakout by taking action!

Success come to those who persevere.

Profit Is Often All In A Domain Name

October 29th, 2011

Are you considering doing business online? If you’re affirmative about that, then you need a home for your site on the Internet first, for that you’ll have to register a domain name.

A domain name provides your website an Internet address. Under the Domain Name System DNS, domain names are framed of the four elements – a server prefix, a domain name, a domain suffix or extension, and a country code (optional).

For instance, www.ViralHost.com is an example of a domain name where ‘www’ is the server prefix, ‘ViralHost’ is the domain name and ‘com’ is the domain suffix.

Many people do not realize it, but it is a fact that the names on the Internet really matter. There has been much debate on which factors are the most important when determining what domain to purchase. Choosing a domain name should be deeply tied to the business plan and the vision of the company. A domain can be chosen for its advantages in Search Engine placement, a company’s brand, or as a description of a general term.

One must consider a domains size, pronunciation, how memorable it is, and if the name is taken in other similar forms or extensions.

Search Engine Placement Domains
The purpose of these domains is to rank high in the search engines, because the actual domain name contains the keywords being searched for. Search Engine domains are very rarely brandable, and are mostly used exclusively as side Internet properties to redirect traffic to the main site. A company who sells red widgets would benefit from acquiring red-widgets.com and redwidgets.com , because it is natural that people will remember such an address, but most importantly, that domain name has a high probability of ranking at, or very near to, the top of a search for ‘red widgets’. A very popular tool used to find what is being searched for on the net is: Overture Keywords
(http://inventory.overture.com/d/searchinventory/suggestion/)

Brand Domains
When coming from the offline business into the online, the obvious choice for brand domains is the offline brand name as .com and/or .country extension. Country extensions are used in countries where there is more popularity in their country extension than on the .com. There is a consensus among most Internet domain experts that the shorter the domain, the better. A domain that is about 5 letters long is highly desirable for a brand. However, the domain must sound right as well. Xyqpt.com would be undesirable, because it cannot be easily said or remembered to the general public.

General Term Domains
Registering a generic top level domain [gTLD] name or a country code top level domain,[ccTLD], the things mostly depend on the market for the product or service.

For example, if you are selling your product or services to USA, you can use the country code top level domain, dot-us domain. If you are marketing the products or services globally, you can choose to register the online business as a dot-com or a dot-biz.

Many companies failed, even though they had the generic word for their market. Companies like TheKnot.com refused to purchase Weddings.com, because they were conscious that they needed to focus on brand. Although this strategy worked for TheKnot.com, generic words have a value of their own that cannot be ignored. Like Search Engine Placement Domains, which attract a large number of visitors through search engine referrals, so do generic word domains. For this reason, generic word names are still very much desired and their value continue to rise.

Generic domains are not everything in a dot com business, rather they are a valuable (yet, not essential) component in an array of variables that make an Internet business a success. The current value of these domains, and other domains in general can be seen at an online publication that covers recent domain name transactions at: Domain Journal Sales

Your Building Is Listing Port Side

August 8th, 2011

A conversation with a newly excited business builder made me realize just how out of it people can be understanding the power of list building.

Perhaps it was the excitement of creating what they hope will turn out to be a unique perception of something that has been around for at least 10 years.

Did they put out a LCP or landing page announcing a super bonus for checking them out? Not that I have seen.

Was part of their plan, the idea of grabbing the moment to see how many people they had met over the years, in this one market would sign up? Grabbing attention with a direct to the product Lead Capture Page?

It doesn’t matter what product or service you think will be a hit, what does matter is that you need to know first if there is even a market for that product or service.

If there is not, then 99% of the viewers who see the direct to product LCP will move on, lost forever.

One-off direct sales, LCP or not, has always been the least advantageous form of marketing.

Nice owner, smart pages, great design, poor thinking will move your attempts port side every time.

You have the Product, you set your Pricing; the Packaging is unique but the Promotion is sadly backwards as well as severely limiting.

Using List Building to Define Your Market

If you do not want to be left at the starting gate, then do take the time to renew the plan, do a little strategizing and put out a nice representative of your product to get prospects to sign up for more.

The Affiliate Probability Test

September 1st, 2010

Mike Filsaime and Chris Farrell are hitting the net with Affilliatedot.com, their latest introduction to successful marketing on the Internet.

Do you like detective novels? The whodunit that grabs your attention, fills you full of information you think you have gleaned by character association, flip flop back and forth only to learn the guilty party was a person you never suspected?

Parts of Affilliatedot.com are like that. Chris speaks of the research so necessary to choosing the right niche as sort of side door detective work. Much of what he talks about we already present for your involvement in intelligent marketing.

For instance, do you recall the non-fiction book chapters Pat Downing presented for your learning enjoyment in our ezine? That book was about the human condition, ‘secrets‘ presented in everyday human action.

Take it one step higher. Always read the top 10 non-fiction books. If they are reality-based, reach the top 10 best seller in reader delight and choice, does it not stand to reason there is a product or service available or one you can make available to the hungry waiting market who made the book a top 10 entry?

The probability factor is there for one or more niche topics that will get you started promoting something that will really make you the desireable income you are searching for. All you have to do is a little reading, backed up with probable niches that come to your mind as you read. We will help you with the next step.

If your reading has suffered because of online demands, don’t you think it is time to crunch in a few time slots for Top 10 non-fiction reading? If you are not a reader, maybe you need to become one?

Meantime, affiliatedot.com is probably out of your reach but the lessons are not. We market for you. Wisely searching out the places, the times and the products and services we already know there is a hundred marketable niches for you to choose from.

Get familiar with ViralHost. It is replacing EzProfitsPlus both for marketing our internet tools and hosting. In fact, you will find ViralHost.com will provide you with every size hosting package you know you need or can grow into at competitive prices. More than that, we provide the training you need to use them. Check out our Niche packages and see for yourself.

Internet Marketing will be a forever changing part of your online success. Being on top of your game, forever understanding and searching for the oldie but goldie forms of lead generation search that works better today than yesterday.

No Unethical Marketing Intentions Here

August 4th, 2010

ViralHost has been around for a very long time. What it is most noted for is its ethical practices.  Since its inception ViralHost has never been about marketing ‘tricks.’  It is and will remain all about helping people.

The net can be a pretty ‘slimey’ place to have to place your trust in. Especially if you are new to the Internet and certainly new to InternetMarketing.

Clean-up is inevitable and many more people will end up out of business or Google slapped to extinction.

First, the FTC shook up the affiliate marketing industry by cracking down on testimonials and affiliate marketers “lying” about the real amounts of money they were making using a particular program or strategy. The FTC is far from being finished with corrupt online practices.

You cannot have unethical intentions and survive on the net.

Google got into the act and shut down over 100,000 Google Accounts.  I read the responses, the hue and cry of very big advertisers, half a million and into the millions crying foul.

Google Adwords was fast becoming the who can trick the largest market without being caught.  Google Wins! Slam Dunk! And these tricksters can find another place to play.

Companies like ViralHost will continue to be around for the long term. Our reputation will remain spotless because our credo is people first.

Those that say you don’t need a website are next in line to get a house cleaning. Anyone can make spotty income without a website but the net, success on the net, is all about having a content driven website. Any other claim is pure malarky.

This is where ViralHost shines for you. We have the staff, we have the knowledge and the skills to make sure your dream of owning a successful web site become reality.
